SAS is a privately owned, established company formed in 1988. Our principle activities are in the field of site investigation, environmental consultancy and materials testing.
What We Do
- In addition to our primary activities in the field of site investigation we can also offer the following range of services: Concrete Condition Surveys, including investigation for minimum cover to reinforcement, depth of carbonation, hammer test, borescope, half-cell potential, resistivity and visual appraisal for surface defects.
- Chemical Analysis of hardened concrete, including determination of chloride content, cement content, sulphate, alkalies etc.
- Materials testing and consultancy, including full range of testing for compliance with DOT Specification for Highway Works, analysis of bituminous materials and aggregates.
- Asbestos surveys
All testing and analysis carried out to the appropriate British Standards.
With respect to geo-environmental surveys of both green field and brown field sites, all projects are overseen by our Geo-Environmental Engineer, Mr Aubrey Davidson. He holds a Masters degree in Environmental Technology.
